- The Cubs cut 9 players today as expected. They sent Mitch Atkins to AAA Iowa and David Patton to AA Tenn. They assigned Steve Clevenger, Blake Lalli, Jeff Kennard, Josh Vitters, Matt Camp, Brett Jackson, and Vince Perkins to minor league camp. No shocker there, it is too bad they sent Vitters and Jackson so early, I really enjoyed watching them.
- Nick Cafardo said that Kerry Wood is a fit for the Twins if they eat most of his contract for this season but the Cubs also have some interest as well he says.
- Starlin Castro is ready?!?!?!? Aramis and others think so........ Thanks to Cubbies Crib for the info!

When was the last time Cubs had 11 minor league players batting .333 or above. I know its only spring training. But i love it anyway.
