Happy New Year!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM HOT STOVE CUBBIES!!!!

I just want to wish you all my readers and posters a Happy New Year. I really hope 2011 brings everyone hope, excitement, and happiness. I just hope for the Cubs this year is not a "wait til next year" season.

I do want to take this time also to thank all my readers and posters of this site. It just would not have been the same without you. I have been running the blog by myself since 2006 and I have been loving every minute of it. Recently I have been lacking in the post department because of work and family. I am currently running through some things that could make this site more up to date and give more to you the reader. Which is why I am contemplating bring on some contributors to help me with HSC. Just a reminder I do not make any money off this site so contributing here does not earn you dough but could earn you recognition on message boards, other blogs, websites, and even mainstream media. So if you are interested in contributing send me a comment.

I will continue to evolve this blog as changes and demands change. I will do whatever I can do to make this a better place for everyone who visits this site. I again what to thank you all for making this site so successful and being a Cubs fan so much fun (even when it is hard).

Thank you and God Bless!

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE CUBS
1. Cubs 4-5-6 hitters Pena, soriano
Colvin. If they stay health the good 100 HR'S the bad 500 SO'S

2. Lee had a bad back last year and didn't play his usually great defense. With Pena at first Casto will have less errors.

3. Soto and Fukudome were the only cubs with OBP above .350 (.393-.371) The cubs are trying to trade Fukudome and they bat Soto 7th or
8th.

4. How come when you go to cub stats Lee and Lilly are not listed but Nady and Howry are.

5. When Jackson is ready for CF Byrd gets traded. He would be a good LF but Soriano is going nowhere.

6. I look for Silvs-Wells-Diamond
to look good in the spring, and all 3 get traded.

7. I look for Guyer and Mateo to make the team out of Mesa.

8. I look for Archer-Carpenter to make the team before the allstar game.

9. I look for Zambrano and Gorzelanny to have a great year.

10. I look for WOOD to get the longest standing ovation ever when he takes the field for the first time.

I just wanted to say that your blog is the best i have read about the Cubs and your opinions generally mesh with the way i think about things. I look forward to hearing your info on what the Cubs may or may not do in the future. My main concern now is how and why does Jim Hendry keep his job, Pena is terrible and we could had Laroche for less and he is also the better player, oh well such as life as Cub fan. Thanks again and have a great new year.
