Starlin Castro

I just want to say congratulations to Starlin Castro and his 6 RBI debut as a Chicago Cub. It is truly amazing how a 20 year old kid has so on his shoulders can deliver how he did last night. It is truly amazing and something the Cubs obviously needed.

Starlin should have started in the big leagues after Spring Training and if you have read my blog before you know how I felt when they started him in AA. But that was then and this is now.

I think all Cub fans can agree, this is going to be an exciting kid to watch!

The reason he started in the minors is so the front office can have more control over him in the future. But bringing him up now put him in super 2 status. So i guess they will save a little money. Too, i think it's hendry saving his job.

The sad thing is this team will suffer and there will be a fire sale. Then the kids will have a chance to play and become the next "Devil Rays". Watch : )

Don't blame the players for scoring only 2 runs a game, blame the manager. You have 3 players hitting .340 or better, they also have the most HR's and the most RBI's. (BYRD, SOTO and SORIANO)
But he keeps putting in LEE .211,
NADY .186 and RAMIREZ .163. In the 3,4,5 spot. Quit kissing their asses and put the hot hitters in there. Also COLVIN played 1B in college give him a try. And if your not going to trade for any bullpen help, bring up Jackson, Diamond, Cashner, or Atkins. I don't want to hear LOU complaining he's the idiot making out the line up. Sorry i had to vent.

Yes,he can hit pretty well, for a good shortstop.Unfortunately he is not that.So far he looks like another Cub player with no position. In other words,a DH.Simply put,he does not belong here.Bring him up when he learns to field his position,if ever.

I see Jackson was used as a relief pitcher the last two times out. That makes me think he will soon be brought up for the bull pen. I guess with Diamond and Cashner doing great you had to move someone to the pen.
