Tribune Sells Cubs and Wrigley..

The Tribune Company finally sold the Cubs to Ricketts family. This process started two and a half years ago and was slowed by many things including the Tribune claiming bankruptcy. The Rickets family bought the Cubs, Wrigley Field, and 25% of Comcast Sports Net for nearly 845 million dollars. Major League Baseball needs to approve the transaction but that will not be an issue.

Thank goodness this is almost over!

In order to be called up in sept. you need to be on the 40 man roster. The cubs have 38 players on the roster now. Cotts could be moved to the 60 day disabled list and Chad Fox could be released. That would leave 36 players. Hoffpauir, Blanco, and Scales are position players on the list. Patton, Berg, Atkins, Caridad, Mateo, Stevens, and Samardzija are the pitchers. With 4 open spots I'd like to see GAUB, PARKER, SNYDER, and ROBINSON brought up. I know all these players will not be brought up, but the last 4 should be. Just my 2 cents worth.
