Aram May Need Surgery After Season, more notes...

- Aramis Ramirez may need surgery at the end of the season if his shoulder continues to bother him. He told the paper he rehabs well so he should not need anything done during this season and expects to be in the starting lineup by the 2nd week in July.

- The Cubs are not really worried about Sean Marshall but may chose to throw him in the pen once Rich Harden gets well. The Cubs love how Randy Wells has pitched for them and think he has won a spot in the rotation in Chicago. The move would not likely take effect for a while because Rich Harden is still not throwing a baseball.

- The Cubs are starting to shop for a power bat for the their weak lineup and a top of the rotation pitcher if one become available according to Cub officials. The Cubs are very optimistic about the sale that they are starting the wish list now. There is no word that what players are on that list but why don't you make some guesses?

- Jim Hendry picked the wrong guy. Milton Bradley has been hurt more than he has played this season and just has not preformed while Adam Dunn, Raul Ibanez, and even Bobby Abreu put together another solid season with Dunn and Ibanez tearing the cover off the ball. Milton Bradley could turn it around but right now Hendry plan and simple made the wrong choice.

That is it for now Cub Fans!

Do you think the cubs woudl go after derosa again? he is on the block. Or do you think we will go after someone else?

Well I would imagine that they would want to get a big thumper at 2B, so at leats to me Dan Uggla would make the most sense.

Yes I do think DeRosa would be very appealing but they would rather have an impact bat.

Uggla would be a good fit Jordan C.

If Hendry has no more, I say he trades:

Marlins get Freel (4m this year) Mitch Atkins Brad Snyder

Cubs get Uggla (has about 6 million on contract) I think Hendry can take on about 1.5 million.

The rest I think will be on my blog.

What about Chone Figgins? Is he a viable option? Are we only looking for a 2B or could we maybe go after a 1B or 3B?

It is time to start thinking about next year. Lee, Bradley, Harden = damaged goods/retreads. Nothing productive will happen with this team with the sale on hold. Time to play the young guys. Then after we see what they can do and the sale gets done at the end of the season go start building for a run next year.

I also think if the Cubs cant get Bedard or Peavy, what about Felix Hernandez. He is only making 3.5 million this year and he is in the arbitration. I think that will be a great pickup, Hernandez is only 23 years old and is a stud. That will be hard to trade for him, but hendry can try.

Hey Cubsfan82,

When do you think a trade will happen for a power hitter???
