I do not see him getting a better deal than what he has left on his current Cub contract. He might get more years, but the total dollars won't be much more. But if the Cubs do go into full rebuilding mode, Rammy opting out would be a blessing.<br /><br />I don't think you'll see Girardi here by 2011. Like you said, he has a sweet deal in NY right now. Maybe down the road, but he's got a good thing going there. And you definitely wouldn't see Ryno taking a bench coach roll under Girardi.
